Please note:adapters purchased from this page are only compatible with AeroCoach Ascalon extensions, and will be provided with bolts needed for assembly with Ascalon extensions
Ascalon extensions can be assembled on the Colnago TT1 using tilt block adapters for a lower stack option, or AeroCoach Ascalon Colnago TT1-specific adapters for a higher stack option.
Tilt block adapters (lower stack option):
Tilt block adapters can mount directly on the base bar, giving a minimum stack height of approximately 45mm from base bar mounting surface to top surface of Align Wing carbon arm rests. Tilt block stack height can be increased by using up to 50mm of tilt block stackers and a 10mm universal bridge assembled under the tilt blocks, giving a maximum stack height of approximately 105mm from base bar mounting surface to top surface of Align Wing carbon arm rests.
Ascalon Colnago TT1-specific adapters and stackers (higher stack option):
For a higher stack Ascalon setup, AeroCoach Colnago TT1 stackers (80mm) can be assembled on the base bar, with the AeroCoach universal adjustable bridge and AeroCoach Colnago TT1 Ascalon adapters on top. Up to an additional 50mm of stack height can be achieved using tilt block stackers in 10mm increments. A minimum stack height of 145mm from base bar mounting surface to top surface of Align Wing carbon arm rests can be achieved, or with the optional tilt block stackers, a maximum stack height of 195mm from base bar mounting surface to top surface of Align Wing carbon arm rests can be achieved.
Warranty on Ascalon adapters is only valid when used with AeroCoach Ascalon extensions.
Adapter angle:
Choice of adapter angle is dependent on personal aerodynamics and comfort preference, as well as UCI restrictions (only applies if racing in UCI TTs).
As a guide, 15deg Ascalon adapters will result in a hand height relative to elbow position approximately similar to using 20-25deg standard 22.2mm extensions, 20deg adapters will result in a hand height approximately similar to using 30-35deg extensions, and 25deg adapters will result in a hand height approximately similar to using 40-45deg extensions.

Extra bolt pack:
As standard, the correct bolts are included for the minimum stack height version of each option - either assembly of tilt blocks directly on the base bar (no tilt block stackers or bridge); or for the assembly of Ascalon adapters, 80mm stackers and bridge (no tilt block stackers).
Extra bolt packs consist of 4 bolts of the correct length for the addition of tilt block stackers (and optional bridge in the case of tilt block adapters).
