AeroCoach Zephyr handbike wheels are 700c size, fitted with 24h AEOX 1/2" axle hubs, designed to fit in racing handbikes. The cassette front wheel comes in either rim brake (130mm width) or disc brake (142x12mm thru axle). Zephyr wheelchair wheels are tubeless and clincher compatible, allowing you to use low rolling resistance and high grip tyres for excellent acceleration and high speed rolling scenarios.
Tyre sizes from 23mm upwards can be used: for Zephyr wheels we recommend 25-28mm tyres for the best combination of rolling resistance and aerodynamics, however wider tyres can be fitted.
The AEOX rear hubs have 1/2" axles, and easy to use low profile bearing preload adjusters.
USAGE
AEOX Zephyr handbike wheels can be used in mass start road or time trial events.
TYRE FITTING
AEOX Zephyr wheelchair wheels are designed for tubeless or clincher tyres. Please see our rolling resistance page under the Learn section of the website for more information about tyre choice. We recommend latex or TPU tubes for the best rolling resistance if using tubes. Maximum pressure 100psi, however we recommend a lower pressure for best rolling resistance: see our tyre pressure calculator HERE
If you require a different size tyre from the drop down list when ordering, eg. 28mm then please let us know and we can amend your order.
