PURE SPEED

The AeroCoach AEOX® ULTRA carbon disc is the lightest tubeless disc in the world at 970g (rim brake), with a tubular version also available at 875g. Each disc is handmade in the UK using custom construction and carbon laminate techniques for the lowest possible weight, whilst maintaining the industry leading aerodynamics and stiffness of the AEOX® disc. 24 internal spokes allow for a class leading aerodynamic sidewall shape, and improved comfort over solid construction wheels.

DEVELOPMENT

CFD, track and real world optimised, the AEOX® disc is the most aerodynamic rim brake disc available. The drive side and non drive sides have been shaped to reflect differing airflow and interactions between frames and cassettes, and the wheel has been specifically designed to work best with Vittoria Corsa Speed/Pro Speed tyres as well as Continental 5000 series tyres. We recommend the use of 23-26mm Corsa Speed/Pro speed tyres and 25mm Continental 5000 series tyres with AEOX® Ultra rim brake discs.

This graph shows wind tunnel data comparing the AEOX® disc against a Zipp Super 9, Roval 321 and HED Jet+, all mounted with a 23mm Vittoria Corsa Speed tyre inflated to 90psi. Test speed was 45kph.

INSTALLATION

The AEOX® disc is compatible with Shimano and SRAM 10, 11 and 12 speed cassettes (please select a freehub option from the dropdown menu). For tubeless conversions we recommend using Zefal sealant which can be purchased with the wheel. Tubeless and tubular tyres must be set up by a professional cycling mechanic. Please note chainstay clearance - at a point 75mm down from the top of the brake track, you require 40mm of clearance. Please also note that the use of some aftermarket jockey wheel cages for derailleurs will reduce clearance with the disc sidewalls.

RIM/DISC BRAKE

AEOX® Ultra discs are rim brake only. For a disc brake disc please see the AEOX® Ultra Orbit disc.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Each tubeless rim brake wheel comes with pre installed tubeless compatible rim tape, an AEOX® tubeless valve, AEOX® carbon brake blocks, valve stickers and full instructions. Tubular wheels come with AEOX® carbon brake blocks, valve stickers and full instructions.

CUSTOM COLOURS

We can provide custom coloured decals for an additional surcharge. If you would like a custom colour decal with your AEOX® wheel please get in touch!

UCI LEGALITY

The AEOX® disc wheel is fully UCI legal and has been raced in the Tour de France, Giro D'Italia, Vuelta a España and multiple elite World Championships. The UCI legal drop down menu is only applicable for a rim brake wheelset purchase where the front hub uses different end caps for UCI events.
